Steps up the hill: there were more than expected. It’s done now, however, and we managed to use up most of the treated pine that was making a junk pile over by the chicken coop.
The fill will settle over the coming days, particularly in the rain, and there’ll probably be a bit of rock topping-up to do to keep the tops level, but they should do the job now for a good few years to come.
Back in August, men started coming by with their machinery to bury the high voltage power line that runs down O’Connors Road.
The power was out again today, and they finally took the old line down.
One of the rooms in the shop where S works (The Courtyard on Mount Dandenong Tourist Road between Sassafras and Ferny Creek). The mattress on the bed has gone to the Grand Designs expo which was, by all accounts, a tad disappointing due to its lack of Kevin. Otherwise, nice furniture, eh?
Ironically, this forested outlook is on a little dirt road called “sunnyslopes”. It’s all dim and dappled and green under there. This is where we take our evening constitutionals.
That road was getting really banged up, what with all the lost tourists. Now it’s nice and new and we can drive up it again.
